What style of coaching is used at The GLP?
The Golden Life coaches use a values-based approach to coaching members. Values, what is most important to you, serve as the foundation for your individualized coaching plan. Once identified, we construct a plan that consists of goals and their associated tasks.
What is the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy seeks to help you understand your past and heal mental or emotional wounds. Coaching is future-focused and seeks to help you take action.

Personal training focuses on the design and delivery of effective exercise and nutrition programs. Coaching is person-focused, empowering and autonomous. It involves a more holistic approach to align your physical, mental and emotional bodies in order to help you achieve your desired outcomes.
Where do i start?
A “Taste of the Golden Life'' is our trial coaching membership offer, and the most effective way to get started. It consists of 6 days of unlimited Strength and Conditioning and Nutrition Group Coaching sessions and a 20-minute individualized coaching session for $50. With a “Taste",” you will get first-hand experience of our coaching style and community dynamic.
Are you licensed?
There are currently no national or statewide licensure requirements for coaches, however the National Board of Health & Wellness Coaches (NBHWC) has established nationally recognized professional standards and practices. I will be sitting for the board examination to become a Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach in 2023, as I have recently earned a Level 2 Master Health Coach certification with a NBHWC recognized program, Precision Nutrition (PN).
Can I use my insurance to pay for sessions?
If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA), or a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) as well as a “Letter of Medical Necessity” from your doctor, you may be able to use one of those accounts to pay for coaching, as long as the coaching addresses your medical necessity, albeit strength coaching for treatment of depression and/or nutrition coaching for treatment of obesity, etc. Please inquire with your healthcare provider and/or your health insurance carrier for more information. Coaches working within established healthcare systems and practices may possess the ability to bill insurance for their services.
What is the difference between your Coaching & Community Center and a gym?
The Coaching & Community Center (CCC) is a safe space for you to be your authentic self. For you to clear what is holding you back and celebrate what has pulled you forward! The CCC is divided into two equal spaces including a fully-equipped gym and a co-working area with tables, couches and chairs! Come to the CCC to attend a group coaching session, meet one-on-one with your coach, get some work done in between the day's events or just hang with your GLPeeps!
